The name “Elephant” is the emblem of our hotel: quality and permanence are the hallmarks of the “Elephant”. Quality in our services, familiar care for our guests and a sense of tradition. The hotel was last sold in 1773 – and has been family-owned ever since. Our history obliges us to take care of the future. The Elephant’s journey is far from over.

Our restaurants are a stronghold of fine flavours thanks to the highest quality tableware, perfect service and exceptional cuisine – all of this accompanied by the most exquisite wines. Our head chef Mathias Bachmann and his trusted brigade keep our guests happy in both the Elephant Restaurant and the Apostelstube, of which the latter has held a Michelin star since 2019.

You will be able to relax and disconnect from the outside world in our new spa area. The former stables have been completely remodelled and now shine in all their new glory. Equipped with a large pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam sauna and plenty of seating and lounging options. This oasis will feel like a little dream come true when you spend your holiday at the Elephant.

Villa Marzari is an oasis of tranquillity in the middle of the bustling city. It is located only a few steps away from the main building. Dream and relax in twelve exceptionally quiet rooms and suites that overlook orchards, rose gardens and idyllic gravel paths. Our guests can relax far away from the hustle and bustle, outside the park walls, amidst the lush green of the trees and the brilliant colours of the surrounding flowers.
